About the Position: This position is located at the Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Develop, coordinate, and monitor operation plans and orders in support of defined requirements and objectives.
Participate in internal and external operational planning, identifies courses of action to meet mission requirements, anticipates problems or conflicts.
Perform emergency response procedures which includes data/ information management, such as preparing duty/communication logs, technical briefings, task/resource lists, and correspondence.
Assist with the development of exercise objectives, master scenario event lists, control plans, transportation plans, and support requirements/plans for drills and exercises.
Establish dates for analysis and submission of requisition for maintenance to acquisition management.
Inspect equipment to ensure recall/warning/alert corrections have been performed.
Perform assessments to determine risk assessment to equipment management including biomedical equipment.
Assist in the development of hospital issuances (e.g., instructions and manuals) related to section's core functions.
Assist in performing complex projects in support of higher headquarters and organization-specific operations with special emphasis on Commander's Critical Information Requirements.
Extract intelligence and applicable information from classified and unclassified sources to identify operational impacts.
Process and coordinate service-specific tasking and deployment requirements received by a variety of communication channels to include applicable automated systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
- Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
- This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 30 pounds may be required.
- Additional requirements may be determined as positions arise and will be communicated during the hiring process if you are selected.
- Position has been identified as a mission essential/inclement weather position. The incumbent is expected to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during inclement weather conditions.
- Required to possess a current, active, full and unrestricted license or registration from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or a territory of the United States.

Basic Requirements for Social Worker (Clinical):
Degree: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting bio-psychosocial evaluations of behavioral health patients, providing individual or group clinical counseling, and developing behavioral health treatment recommendations.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Licensure: A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction.
