As a Supervisory Project Manager, you will serve as the Branch Chief of the Programs and Measures Branch and direct the work of Construction Managers, Estimators and Project Managers.
Location of position: Public Buildings Service, Leasing Division, in Kansas City, MO.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Performs work and provides supervision to Project Managers, Estimators, and Construction Managers within the framework of agency policy and overall program objectives.
Assists in the direction, coordination and supervision of the activities of the project management program in the areas of preproject planning, scheduling, design, estimating, construction management, construction, project execution, safety and project close-out.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining sound position management within leasing project management by reviewing project management plans and other significant project execution materials. Develops and directs the analysis and evaluation of the leasing project management and related activities in terms of operational procedures, organization, workflow and overall effectiveness.
Serves as advisor to the Division Director and other upper management team members on procurement and other issues affecting projects and the Project Management programs.
Serves as the first level supervisor for a staff consisting GS-14 and below Project Managers, estimators and construction managers.

The GS-14 salary range in Kansas City, MO starts at $124,113 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is supervising and/or managing a branch, section, team or organization that was responsible for the project management of multiple, large construction and/or repair and alterations projects. This experience includes providing oversight in the overall administration and management of leasing projects that includes the entire project life cycle (project planning, scheduling, construction logistics, budgeting, estimating, cost analysis and control, resource requirements, contract administration, and project close-out); providing recommendations and technical guidance to senior level internal and external stakeholders on customer and project requirements as well as other lease project-related activities; and identifying and managing project resources (to include but not limited to budget, project team and schedule) to ensure projects comply with organizational goals and objectives.
