About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Ft. Shafter Hawaii.

Duties

Incumbent is assigned to the 311th Signal Command (T) G3 Strategic Engineering Branch, which is the focal point for the Pacific Command Theater of Operations Army communications projects and programs. Incumbent will be working in support of USARPAC, USASC, DA, DISA, AF, Navy, JCS, other nonmilitary departments and foreign governments. Performs technical/power analysis, and detailed system design to prepare concept plans and proposals for satisfying user requirements. Modifies latest, state-of-the-art equipment, which will be integrated into communications-electronics (C-E) systems. Prepares Statements of Work (SOW) and procurement specifications for contractual support. Engages in preliminary planning conferences with representatives of DA, DOD, DISA and other government agencies to determine type of facility and system configurations needed to meet the users requirements. Conducts special studies and analysis of Information Management Area (IMA) systems involving a variety of unusual and highly specialized IMA equipment.
