This position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Assistant Commandant for Resources/CFO (CG-8), Deputy Commandant for Resources/Deputy CFO (CG-8D), Office of Resources Management(CG-83), Reimbursable Management Division (CG-835), Washington, DC.
Duties
You will serve as a senior Budget and subject matter expert concerning user-fee policy development and administration, with independent responsibility for developing, revising, maintaining, and overseeing the implementation of national policies related to the establishment, modification, collection, accounting, and reporting of user fees charged by the USCG for various services, which include vessel inspections, overseas inspections, vessel documentation, and merchant mariner credentialing. You will also conduct periodic reviews of user fees, user fee regulations, and collections; analyze data/findings related to user fee reviews; process requests from commercial vessel owners for waivers and exemptions of user fees; participate in user fee audits; respond to Congressional inquiries; manage reimbursable accounts, which includes developing budget information and reconciling accounts; preparing financial reports; and managing reimbursable travel globally.

Qualifications
GS-12: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal sector. Specialized experience:
Identifying, analyzing, and resolving budgetary problems; AND
Analyzing and evaluating budget and/or travel-related data analytics by using Microsoft suite/software, OR
Providing funding advice for travel-related requirements.GS-13: Applicants must possess specialized experience equivalent to 1 year at the nest lowest grade level (GS-12) in the federal sector. Specialized experience:
Performing a variety of budgetary analytics and administrative support that require application of many different financial, and analytical techniques; and methods; AND
Providing guidance and assistance to personnel regarding related policies and procedures pertaining to management aspects of the user fee program.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
