We encourage you to read the entire announcement prior to submitting your application. This post is for viewing purposes only. NCTC's Directorate of Intelligence (DI) was mandated by Congress to be the primary organization in the United States Government (USG) for analyzing and integrating terrorism intelligence. The DI provides senior policymakers with integrated and coordinated terrorism analysis and produces the full range of analytic products, including daily Terrorism Intelligence Briefs (TIBs), President's Daily Briefs (PDBs), warning products, short-term and longer-term research, and alternative analysis. The National Counterterrorism Center's Directorate of Intelligence (NCTC/DI) is seeking a highly motivated officer to lead a division which produces all-source intelligence analysis on chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, explosives (CBRNE) and other weapons-related terrorist threats emanating from Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia for a broad set of USG customers and partners. The division provides warning of terrorist development and use of lethal devices that threaten US persons or interests; formulates and communicates analysis to inform policy and support operations; collaborates with partners across government to identify risk and opportunities; and drives intelligence collection through regular interaction, formal evaluations, and structured requirements. Additionally, the selected candidate will be expected to: Provide expert guidance and leadership to multiple teams in the production of well-crafted sophisticated, complex analytic finished intelligence products on sometimes controversial or particularly difficult issues in support of United States foreign policy and national security objectives; review final analytic products, written and oral, for clarity, organization, accuracy, and logic; effectively explain highly complex concepts and results to non-expert customers and tailor products to correspond to customer needs. Provide intellectual leadership and strategic direction for the division, manage the flow of taskings, and encourage teamwork and collaboration with counterparts throughout NCTC, ODNI, CIA, and the IC. Mentor and develop analysts of varying experience levels and evaluate the performance of analysts from different career services, each with its own unique expectations, opportunities, and performance review systems. Help drive the group's analytic program, ensuring that products incorporate the highest IC tradecraft standards and capitalize on NCTC's unique data accesses and tools. Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse and highly qualified workforce. Ensure personnel are appropriately challenged, rewarded, and given the support, tools, training, and opportunities they need to develop and succeed. Cultivate an inclusive environment that fosters the development of all officers to their full potential.
