You will serve as a Supervisory Program Manager, Executive Director of FLTREADCEN EAST, Cherry Point, NC

Duties

You will participate in overall planning, direction and timely execution of all FRC East programs. You will approve multi-year and longer range work plans . You will manage organization that provide industrial or activity supports services, operations and functions. You will assist in the management of organizational changes throughout the FRC East and/or manage major changes in the structure and content of program/segments directed.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience: 1) Establishing goals, policies, and objectives for an organization to ensure accomplishment of programs and projects in an efficient manner; 2) Developing comprehensive programs to improve productivity, cost effectiveness, and efficiency of fleet activities; 3) Presenting recommendations to superiors for changes to organizational structure necessary to implement new initiatives, support a change in mission, and/or enhance management methods; 4) Evaluating the effectiveness of the Strategic Planning process to find deficiencies and identify areas for improvement; 5) Monitoring the operations for an organization by providing administrative program direction and supervision to key civilian staff; and 6) Implementing an internal control system to produce a sound system of accountability within the organization. .
