You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst for the Commander, Sub Dev Squadron 5.

Duties

You will interpret budgetary policies and practices to resolve funding issues. You will deliver presentations and briefs. You will prepare reports and presentations. You will identify and analyze problems, generate alternative perspectives/solutions, and choose courses of action to resolve the issues. You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing standard practices and procedures in accounting, budget, or other related financial management work by recommending alternative methods to support organizational programs and administrative operations.
