The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a lead Inventory management program manager and senior SME, researching, developing, recommending new and innovative corporate policies, practices, and processes for organizational management. Performs official team lead duties over subordinate employees overseeing projects, assignments and studies encompassing

Duties

Performs technical and administrative lead duties on a regular and recurring basis over Inventory Management Specialist subordinate positions by identifying, distributing, assigning and balancing workload and tasks among employees. Communicates team and/or individual consensus and recommendations to the supervisor on actions affecting team and individual awards and recognition. Consistently exercises independent judgment in directing and assigning work amongst employees by using determinative factors such as team members' expertise, experience, competence, workload availability, work priorities and team member functional development. Performs work associated with supply planning of a group or groups of high activity and high dollar value items. Manages planned/scheduled item requirements and budget forecasts to determine requirements quantities of items to maintain worldwide customer support. Validates input data that is used in the requirements computation for items managed. Develops, interprets, implements, and/or distributes policies, methods, plans and/or procedures for inventory management of assigned programs, projects, or items.

  • The duty location for this position is (Tinker AFB). However, this position is eligible for maximum telework flexibilities. Telework options can be negotiated and implemented after entrance on duty.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in performing technical and administrative inventory management duties on a regular and recurring basis by overseeing projects and identifying, distributing, assigning, balancing workload and tasks amongst employees; demonstrating skill in critical analysis and providing quality control for item requirements; evaluating buy and repair budgets to maintain supply readiness support for the organization; solving complex issues; recommending innovative policies, practices and processes; and ensuring the organization's strategic plan and mission are met accordingly within available resources. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. Ability to lead, motivate and guide the functions of the team. Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to analyze, plan, and adjust work coordination of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
