This position is located in Golf at the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department of Naval Station San Diego. The primary purpose of this position is to sell golf equipment and supplies and collect Green and Golf Cart fees from patrons.

Requirements

• Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
• Must meet federal suitability requirements including successful completion of background investigation.
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, without a fixed schedule. Administrative work is performed in a normal office setting.
• Irregular working hours may be required to include early shift, late shift, evenings, weekends and holidays when the need arises.
• May have to obtain and maintain the following certification within 90 days of hire: Emergency First Responder or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Food Handlers and/or C.A.R.E (Controlling Alcohol Risks Effectively).
• Wearing of protective clothing and equipment may be required as situations warrant.

Qualifications

Two (2) years of experience in Golf operations preferred. Knowledge of rules and regulations of golf preferred. Knowledge of ladies and men's apparel. Knowledge and ability of proper display techniques. Ability to maintain reports and records. Cash handling experience. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to deal effectively with others.

Education

A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
