Duties
Manages the self-insured insurance program for the NAFIs assigned. Researches resource information to determine insurance coverage, conditions, and exclusions that may apply to new or unusual requirements. Defines and interprets policies and regulation based on technical expertise and knowledge of Risk Management Program (RIMP) which includes special coverage. Review, analyze, and evaluate coverage and proof of loss documents to determine recommendation of disposition of claims.
Verifies the computation of premium invoices and initiates direct debit of premium from central banking. Develops and maintains risk management systems to include address list, exposure database, claims and losses, billing, financial accounts, and other ADP(automated data processing) applications. Extracting reports and surveys from the risk management system. Provides loss experience, claims reports, and analysis to IMCOM Directorates/Garrisons and advises on areas of concern to include asset reporting and claim documentation. Actively pursues possible recovery against third party liability. Serves as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for the Risk Management Information System (RMIS). Maintains the database of Family Child Care (FCC)providers and issues RIMP certificates. Oversees NAF vehicles registration and license plate distribution and reporting. Manages the open cargo program covering the shipment of NAF merchandise.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position.
Demonstrated work experience applying laws, regulations, policies, and administrative rulings. Comprehensive knowledge of insurance, coverages, and claims administration. Experience in reviewing loss documents and recommending disposition of claims. Demonstrated ability to present ideas and proposals through effective written and oral communication. Knowledge of the basic principles, concepts and methodologies required to perform various analytical techniques. Ability to analyze information gathered through investigation/assessment and prepare reports and recommendations. Demonstrated ability in standard office software programs such as word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, etc.

Comprehensive knowledge of General Liability (GL) / Casualty Insurance process (coverages and claims administration) and best practices. Comprehensive knowledge of Property Insurance process (coverages and claims administration) and best practices.
Professional Certificate such as Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and/or other Insurance designations.

Education is not required for this position and will not be utilized in determining minimum qualifications or as a substitution for experience unless indicated in the vacancy.
