About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Incumbent oversees administrative actions for seven (7) divisions/cost centers that provide 24-hour operations of Emergency Services for Anniston Army Depot (ANAD). Personally, handles matters pertaining to administrative and office procedures including answering questions and supplying information to employees, supervisors, and higher command personnel. Handles routine and non-technical requests for information such as status of reports and projects, priority and matters with suspense dates, and similar material or information obtained from records, files and/or personnel in the directorate. Provides information to the Directorate, supervisors, and employees concerning training schedules, source availability, cost, length of training, location, registration requirements, etc.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Manages and Organizes InformationWriting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
