The position is located in Department of Homeland Security, U. S. Coast Guard, Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Medium Range Recovery Product Line (MRR), MRR Supply Branch, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Duties
This position's primary purpose is to perform limited phases of logistic management work that supports the repair and supply functions related to the Product Line requiring considerable training or experience in order to assist others in administering the integration of separate supply functions into a cohesive logistics management program.Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.Typical work assignments include:

- Subject to Overtime or Recall.
- Position requires a valid state driver's license.
- Qualified typist is required.
- Occasional Temporary Additional Duty (TAD0 may be required.
Qualifications
Candidates must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the level GS-06 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of qualifying specialized experience would include: work that required a knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures pertaining to the full range of provisioning and pre-procurement screening for new item entries for stock number assignment; conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions, and providing supply operations support for specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts.National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
