This DIRECTOR OF FORCE SUPPORT position is located at an Air National Guard (ANG) Wing, Mission Support Group, Force Support Squadron and is part of the CA 144 FW.
This position is concurrently announced with AGR A24-129. Only one of the announced positions will be filled. Referral and selection will be IAW CNG FPR 335.
Duties
THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION
The primary purpose of the DIRECTOR OF FORCE SUPPORT, GS-0301-13, is to serve as the Force Support Squadron (FSS) Director and to exercise first and second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the FSS, manage the activities of the FSS, Commander Support Staff (CSS) and oversee the planning, direction, and timely execution of high visibility and high impact FSS programs. The Director of Force Support makes independent technical and executive decisions for the squadron in all areas of functional responsibility.
Qualifications
General Experience: Possess experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration; Experience compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information; Experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work; Experience using computer and automation systems.
DIRECTOR OF FORCE SUPPORT, GS-0301-13: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-12 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions; Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations; Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures; Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations; Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; Experience which includes leading, directing, and assigning work of personnel
