About the Position: This position is located with the 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Transportation Division, Fort Leavenworth, KS.
This is a TERM Appointment NTE 13 Months. Please see "Additional Information" section below for further details.
Duties
Perform onsite inspections to monitor shipping contractor's performance during packing of household goods.
Process inbound/outbound inspection data utilizing automated systems such as Transportation Operations Property System (TOPS), Defense Personal Property System (DPS).
Utilize automated systems to produce correspondence such as inspections reports, deficiency reports etc.
Recommend corrective actions when contractor deficiencies such as improper packing and/or loading are encountered.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a qualified typist (at least 40 wpm with 3 or fewer errors.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a Tier 1 (NACI) security investigation.
- This position may require the incumbent to work overtime to include nights, holidays and weekends.
- This position may require the incumbent to travel (TDY) up to 20% of time.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.
