The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Property and Supply Technician with the Mid Atlantic Service Unit in Madison Heights or Charles City, Virginia. Two positions under the Nashville Area Indian Health Service, one located in Madison Heights and the second in Charles City, Virginia.
Duties
Responsible for shipping and receiving of supplies for the service unit.
Accounting for all property and supplies, including the inventory of new or removal of older outdated property.
responsible for housing, records management, GSA vehicle management, reporting and maintenance.
Review and analyze data processing reports, transaction registers and voucher summary reports.
Maintain stock control records, issues, receipts, storage allocation, stock control levels, variance and inventory adjustments using a Supply Management System.
Responsible for inventorying items, purchase orders, or credit card orders; prepares discrepancy reports, receiving reports, and/or other supply transaction reports as necessary; contacts vendors for credits and/or adjustments.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-07 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples include: Govern supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; prepare and maintain receiving reports and inventory reports; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
