Duties
Provides technical support for the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) EISP network and commercial networks. Installs and maintains hardware, peripherals, and software upgrades. Verifies all equipment is approved and in compliance with the Network Security Policy, directives, and user specifications. Documents end user computer equipment and maintains all software associated with various NAF systems. Records temporary and/or permanent transfer of hardware. Performs quarterly inventory of hardware to ensure accountability. Maintains stocked parts to ensure prompt service and arranges for replacement parts. Answer technical questions regarding setup and maintenance of SETS, Aloha Point-of-Sale System both NAF and APF, Qubica, Golf, Credit Card terminals and other point of sale systems. Responsible for limited specialized projects and assignments involving test, implementation, and support are approved and are in compliance with existing regulations, directives, and user specifications. Installs, upgrades, and maintains software to include operating systems, office applications, and other packages as assigned. Provides guidance and assistance to customers. Explains and assists in the application of system capabilities when the customer has unusual and unique processing requirements that are difficult to formulate. Detects patterns/common causes for recurring problems to determine where standardized solutions are needed. Ensures all SOFSS facilities that process credit cards are PCI compliant to include filling out SAQ's, performing all required scans, review logs, maintain and update firewalls, and review and update policies and operating instructions for credit card handling procedures.

Qualifying Experience:
Applicant must have specialized experience that provides knowledge of the IT standards, policies, techniques, and terminology of the
subject matter field. Experience is typically in or related to the work of the position described or education substitute. Knowledge of computer operation systems, Client/server and networking environments are recommended. Knowledge of the terminology, code, and abbreviations of system documentation or programs. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and/or in writing. Ability to provide training to users. Knowledge and experience maintaining activity PCI compliance is desirable. Security plus Certification highly desirable. Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Tier 3 Access National Agency Check with Inquiries (ANACI) Secret Background investigation. Must have experience in applying Air Force and Agency policies and data processing standards and knowledge of technical data to evaluate alternate approaches to problem solutions. Knowledge of a wide range of computer techniques, requirements, methods, sources, and procedures. Working knowledge of commercial software packages such as Windows Operating Systems, MS Office, and Adobe is desirable. Background in Network design to include HUB switches and standard cabling topologies is desirable. Ability to communicate in English effectively, both orally and in writing.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
