You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the NAVFAC Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD) Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC) or Officer in Charge of Construction (OICC) office of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.

Duties

You will analyze performance measures to provide policy or process change recommendations. You will configure equipment, software and motor in preparation for machine operation. You will prepare applicable solutions, fixes, and related documentation to engineering instructions. You will collaborate with customers and contractors to prepare job plans or contract work statements to ensure that the scope of work is mutually understood.

  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing practical applications of various types of trades and crafts to include concrete work, roofing, electrical, steam fitting, plumbing, wood-working, or other construction activities as related to facilities construction; 2) Utilizing mathematics for computations involving analysis and estimates of facilities projects; 3) Developing and presenting written and oral technical and non-technical information; 4) Applying budgetary policies, procedures and regulations issued by higher commands, and locally to assure that budget forecasts, estimates, and submissions conform to requirements, guidelines, and financial objectives; and 5) Operating computer software such as AutoCAD, WINEST, and Single Platform Maximo and other system software that is used to track the use and status of resources for design, repair, and maintenance projects.
