About the position: This position will be assigned to the NAF Accounting Office on Cannon Air Force Base, Clovis, New Mexico .

Duties

Serves as the focal point for all 27th Special Operations Force Support Squadron (SOFSS) property management matters to ensure property control and disposal processes are consistent throughout the Squadron and to maintain single point accountability for excess and surplus property. Provides logistics guidance, training and assistance for activities receiving support. Assists activity managers in managing and controlling all property items and maintaining an accurate Master Fixed Asset Listing (MFAL). Manages and conducts annual property inventories ensuring all items are property labeled/,marked. Prints and monitors MFAL and provides managers with property labels for new and old property items. Initiates proper custodian paperwork and ensures new activity managers conduct a property inventory of all items. Reviews and processes all NAF property addition, adjustments, transfers, and disposal forms prior to submitting to RM for approval. Identifies if NAF Sale is required, manages the preparation and actual NAF Sale, coordinates with activity managers, ensures all paperwork is submitted and plans for final disposal of equipment not sold. Works with managers to determine the fair market value for items sold at the NAF sale. Responsible for Surplus Property folder, NAF equipment and supplies for possible transfer within the squadron. Maintains documents with pictures and details of items, coordinates on paperwork to complete inner activity transfers. Monitors and/or controls sealed bid auction for sale of NAF property. Manages Pilferable Items program, Acts as Assistant Vehicle Control Office (VCO) and focal point for vehicle support requirements for all SOFSS vehicles. Determine vehicle requirements and budgets accordingly for NAF council approval. Records vehicles in the EAM fleet System. Ensures vehicle maintenance and inspections are performed and documented. Prepares and maintains a vehicle jacket folder for all NAF and APF vehicles. Conducts training to instructs SOFSS personnel on proper use, operation, and safety aspects. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience that shows progressively responsible administrative or technical work which has provided a knowledge of supply and property management. Knowledge and experience in DOD Vehicle program is desired, but not required. Must posses computer skills and spreadsheet analysis. Knowledge of commonly use budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations and processes is highly desired. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and writing in the English language. Ability to use tact and diplomacy while working with supervisors, coworkers, internal, and externa customers. Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds. Valid driver's license is required. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
