You will serve as a SECRETARY (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.
Duties
You will serve as the Personal Secretary and Executive Administrative Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Fleet Maintenance.
You will arrange and coordinate conferences, including such matters as location, schedule, agenda and attendance list.
You will initiate and ensures adequacy and timeliness of all necessary arrangements for the Admiral’s official travel, including preparation of travel requests, arranging schedule of visits, and making plane and hotel reservations.
You will receive all visitors and telephone calls to the Admiral.
You will provide specific information requested by callers when deemed appropriate.
You will serve as the delegated authority to schedule and reschedule appointments without prior clearance for Admiral’s attendance at meetings, conferences, and official functions.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: exercising independent judgment to coordinate and maintain a Commanding Officer's calendar, receive all visitors and telephone calls, prepare executive travel arrangements and travel vouchers in an automated travel system such as Defense Travel System (DTS), prepare correspondence and reports, develop administrative guidance for other administrative personnel and utilize office automation and computer systems to maintain records and disseminate information in order to support naval operations.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of two full years of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled.
