About the Position: The U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command, headquartered in North Chicago, IL, is a jointly staffed command, staffed by representatives of all branches of the Armed Forces. The command, through its 65 military processing locations (Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS)/Remote Processing Stations (RPS)), determines whether applicants are qualified for enlistment based on standards set by each of the services. This position will be filled on a permanent basis.

Duties

Manage the Command’s medical logistics programs and medical equipment maintenance. Develop Command policies and procedures pertinent to various programs and/or equipment. Advise the Command concerning acquisition, accountability and disposition of medical supplies and equipment. Review plans and technical drawings for MEPS construction and renovations for the installation of medical equipment. Serve as team leader for the Medical Logistics team.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Ability to lead or superviseCommunicationsKnowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.Program Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
