You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Industrial Support Department, Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP) Bath Supply Support Division, Logistics & Configuration Management, Marinette Branch ofNAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.
Duties
You will assist in reviews of planning documents such as Ship Specifications, Integrated Logistics Systems (ILS) Management Plans, and Class ILS Plans applicable to the ships, systems or equipment to determine the scope of the ILS effort.
You will conduct studies to investigate problem areas and resolve discrepancies.
You will monitor the progress of ILS planning by quantitative or qualitative analysis.
You will integrate all applicable ILS elements and contractor support to ensure an optimum cost-effective support capability.

- In addition to perform work in a comfortably seated at a desk/table, the work requires frequency of
shipboard visits depends on ships operation schedule and could be as often as weekly
- You will be expected to go on supported ships and visit ship's spaces which will involve going up and down ship's ladders.
- You will occasionally be exposed to adverse weather conditions, industrial settings such as shipyards or on board ships undergoing repairs.
- You may be required to use protective clothing or gear, such as boots or goggles.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-07 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating knowledge and skill in applying policies, procedures and techniques of integrated logistics management in order to determine requirements and initiate procurement. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Assist with the review of contracts to ensure program requirements are met in accordance with established guidance; 2) Provide working knowledge of automated logistics systems to coordinate supply/program support and resolve support issues effectively; and 3) Monitor the progress of logistics plans, making necessary corrective determinations if deviations are detected.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
