You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will participate in logistics planning conferences to develop provisioning plans, schedules, and supply support programs for assigned systems, equipment, and platforms. You will analyze support levels to determine if planned logistics support meets operational goals. You will coordinate with and provide guidance to other NAVSUP WSS personnel in order to effectively execute overall logistics management support of assigned systems/equipment. You will develop and maintain milestone and performance statistics for optimum weapon support.

Requirements

Qualifications

GS-12: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) management to a wide variety of ILS and supply support projects. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Assisting in the development of new supply practices and procedures to meet ILS project goals and milestones; 2) Coordinating actions related to the development, execution, and oversight of supply support for assigned systems and equipment; 3) Receive guidance regarding supply and logistics support to analyze support levels to determine that the planned logistics support meets operational goals within approved funding levels; 4) Utilizing supply chain management processes, procedures, and tools to enhance material availability in order to achieve overall supply support objectives; 5) Leveraging all forms of communication to convey material acquisition statuses, analyses, and logistical strategies to internal and external mission partners. GS-11: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) management to a wide variety of ILS and supply support projects. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Assisting in the development of new supply practices and procedures to meet ILS project goals and milestones; 2) Coordinating actions related to the development, execution, and oversight of supply support for assigned systems and equipment; 3) Receive guidance regarding supply and logistics support to analyze support levels to determine that the planned logistics support meets operational goals within approved funding levels.
