This position is part of the Selective Service System which is responsible for developing, implementing and administering IT security standards and guidance designed to protect from unauthorized access.
Duties
Develops, updates and reviews assess and authorize documentation to ensure that it is compliant with RMF standards.
Analyzes system specifications and trouble reports to determine impact on systems functions, feasibility, and interaction/interrelationship with other subsystems.
Reviews risk assessments and analyzes impact of potential vulnerabilities.
Independently develops procedures to generate and maintain required documentation to include a system security plan (SSP), RMF package documents and plan of action and milestones.
Qualifications
At the GS-13 level, you must meet the following qualification:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience for this position includes leveraging Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools; utilizing CyberSecurity Assessment Management (CSAM) or other similar GRC systems to store and archive security documentation; experience with GRC systems such as Cybersecurity Assessment Management System (CSAM) to identify each phase of the Risk Management Framework (prepare, categorize, select controls, implement, assess, authorize, and system monitoring); and experience as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO). AND IT-related experience which demonstrates the (four) required competencies - Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
