You will serve as a PROPERTY DISPOSAL SPECIALIST in the Production Resources Department of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF).

Duties

You will analyze contractor reports and provide detailed written Statements of Work (SOW), including estimates for labor and material requirements to complete the effort outlined in the Statements of Work. You will identify and provide recommendations for immediate corrective actions for environmental and occupational safety and health regulation concerns. You will plan work evolution and exhibit adaptability to balance the priorities of operational requirements against the importance of timely delivery of a quality product. You will analyze and interpret a broad range of information, marketing methods and conditions, program questions and problems, or disposal and related regulations and guidelines.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Coordinating and tracking the disposition of excess equipment, machinery, parts, and tools to ensure contractor compliance, work quality, and no lapse to the Shipyards mission. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree;
OR

OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
