This position serves as a Maintenance Worker Supervisor for the Facility Management/Maintenance Department of the Pine Ridge Service Unit in Pine Ridge, SD. The incumbent manages the operation, maintenance, repair and utilization of quarters assigned. Maintenance and repair functions include electrical, plumbing, carpentry and heating/air conditioning equipment maintenance and repair to 126 or more units. The position reports to the Facility Manager.

Duties

Manages the operation, maintenance, repair and utilization of quarters assigned. Chairs, participates and advises as a non-voting member of the Service Unit Housing Committee. Conducts inspections, on-going inventory of housing furnishing and management reviews of on-site activities. Coordinates with the Facility Manager to review current expenditures for housing operations and maintenance activities. Supervises and assigns work to employee to ensure completion of work.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this position will be evaluated under the federal wage system job grading standards for WS-4749. No specific length of experience is required.
