You will serve as a VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST in the OFFICE OF THE CHIEF OF STAFF of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.
Duties
You will assess public reaction and understanding to evaluate effectiveness of developed products.
You will research, interpret, analyze, and apply, appropriate PA instructions, directives, and guidance including determining or recommending appropriate actions or interpretation of issues.
You will produce visual information products to build understanding, credibility, and trust with audiences critical to mission success.
You will plan and decide which delivery medium (print, web, etc.) would work best for a particular assignment.
You will apply extensive skill in using industry-standard graphic design, including motion graphics and desktop publishing software, primarily Adobe Creative Suites.
You will serve as principal photographer, videographer, and photo editor for public affairs visual information and other internal specialized products as requested.
You will create web, social media, and motion graphics products ranging from spot illustrations social media components to web page concepts.
You will work with the PAO to develop branding policies, visual information instructions, and procedures to execute the MARCORLOGCOM Public Affairs Program.
You will set up schedules and milestones for various stages of development in the design process to stay on task and to keep the requester informed as the process evolves.
You will maintain liaison with proponents, action officers, and officials in MARCORLOGCOM, DOD agencies, and subordinate units.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You may be recalled to Duty outside of normal working hours.
- This position requires which requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: using visual communication, marketing strategies and design principles to develop communications and campaigns for intended audiences; and experience using industry-standard software (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite), studio photography and videography equipment and computer equipment to produce visual communication products (i.e., web, social media, video, and print).
