This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard, Dep COMDT for Mission Support, Assistant Commandant for Acquisition (CG-9), Director of Acquisition Program Executive Officer (CG-93), Acquisition Program Manager Surface (CG-932) Washington, DC.  

Duties

This position serves as a Deputy Program Manager supporting the Aviation; Surface; or Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) domains at Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, DC. 

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • The applicant is subject to pre-appointment and random drug testing.

Qualifications

To be considered at the GS-15 level: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the federal service.Specialized experience includes: Leading acquisition related project teams; adhering to established plans for acquisition programs; identifying and proposing solutions to planning program issues; participating in resource planning for acquisition related programs; preparing program status reports marking cost, schedule and performance; and analyzing functional requirements of programs, operational standards and measures of effectiveness.Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

This position does not have a positive education requirement. If you are including education on your resume, report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
