This MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST is located in the Joint Force Headquarters-State, Operations Directorate (J-3), Army National Guard (ARNG) Training Center, Maneuver Training Center-Heavy (MTC-H) and is part of the CA Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base.

Duties

THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST, GS-0343-11, is to serve as a Management Analyst with responsibility for conducting reviews, studies, and analyses of training center programs to assess the effectiveness of staff functions. Both written and oral reports and recommendations are provided to the Garrison Commander and staff.

Qualifications

MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST, GS-0343-11: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-09 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experience conducting studies in conjunction with special projects as assigned by the Garrison Commander, which involve gathering and compiling facts and data associated with the project; Experience assisting the training site commander and supervisors in the interviewing and selection of temporary manday personnel; Experience coordinating manning, staffing and classification issues with the HR office and provides guidance and recommendations to the Garrison Commander. Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.

Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
