The position is located in the Office of Computer and Communications Systems (OCCS), Systems Technology Branch (STB), Systems Services Section (SSS).
Duties
As an Office Automation Clerk, you will:
Type a variety of narrative and tabular material from handwritten or typed drafts and from oral instructions.
Utilize a variety of software types (e.g., word processing, database management, spreadsheets, electronic mail, etc.) to generate, store and print numerous types of correspondence, reports, standardized statements, and to develop charts and graphs.
Create, transmit and receive electronic mail.
Receive telephone calls and answers routine inquiries.
Greet visitors to the office.
Maintain office files; locate, gather, and assemble materials from files and other sources for use by staff members.
Prepare training forms and materials.
Prepare travel authorizations and vouchers and make hotel and airline reservations.
Prepare time and attendance records.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for an Office Automation Clerk GS-0326 position at the GS-04 level, you must have:
A. at least one (1) year of general experience equivalent to at least the GS-03 level in the Federal service; obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: progressively responsible for clerical tasks related to processing paperwork; utilizing automated word processing systems to create standard memos and letters; inputting information into databases; and providing general office support to staff. OR
B. completed two (2) years of education above high school. OR
C. a combination of post high school education and experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
In addition, you must be able to type at least forty (40) words per minute.
You will receive credit for all experience material to the position, including experience gained in religious, civic, welfare, service, and organizational activities, regardless of whether you received pay.
