Come work with the Office of the Chief Counsel, an established group of Attorneys and other legal professionals to learn and contribute to the successful legal operations of our Agency.FAA Legal Internship Program is scheduled to begin in June 2024.

Duties

The student will assist Attorneys across the Office the Chief Counsel (AGC) organization on an array of legal projects and assignments. Duties will vary according to the assigned practice area, but may include:

Qualifications

At time of application, applicants must be able to show proof of enrollment for courses and meet the academic criteria specified belowto be eligible for the FV-0999-D band positions.You must:Have completed 4 academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's or equivalent degree;Be currently enrolled in and pursuing a J.D. degree;Be enrolled in a school that has been accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; ANDBe enrolled at least half-time as defined by your school.Ideal candidates should also possess the following: basic skills in legal research and analysis, effective organizational and communication skills; and proficiency in using office automation programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint (or other desktop software programs) suitable for a legal professional organization.ALL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.

Applicants for this internship must be enrolled in and pursuing a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) law degree at the time of application.
