Are you a current law student, seeking an internship?We have exciting law student internship opportunities with our Agency, whose mission is to provide the safest, most efficient aerospace system in the world. Come work with the Office of the Chief Counsel, an established group of Attorneys and other legal professionals to learn and contribute to the successful legal operations of our Agency.FAA Legal Internship Program is scheduled to begin in June 2024.
Duties
The student will assist Attorneys across the Office the Chief Counsel (AGC) organization on an array of legal projects and assignments. Duties will vary according to the assigned practice area, but may include:

- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment background investigation will be required.
- Must live in the United States or US territory.

Qualifications
At time of application, applicants must be able to show proof of enrollment for courses and meet the academic criteria specified belowto be eligible for the FV-0999-D band positions.You must:Have completed 4 academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's or equivalent degree;Be currently enrolled in and pursuing a J.D. degree;Be enrolled in a school that has been accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; ANDBe enrolled at least half-time as defined by your school.Ideal candidates should also possess the following: basic skills in legal research and analysis, effective organizational and communication skills; and proficiency in using office automation programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint (or other desktop software programs) suitable for a legal professional organization.ALL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.
