About the position: This position will be assigned to the 6th Force Support Squadron, MacDill AFB, FL.
Duties
Responsible for providing assistance and guidance to activity manager in the development, preparation and review of NAF requirements/expenditures budgets, income and expense budgets and cash flow budgets. Advises managers and assure that all budgeted projects are complete and accurate and that a balanced budget is submitted for each NAFI activity. Consolidates the quarterly budgets from the activities. Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports reflecting budgets. Incumbent will prepare Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations. Responsible for maintaining Special Morale and Welfare (SM&W) Fund, to include USCENTCOM, USSOCOM and 6th Air Mobility Wing's documents. These include staff summary sheets, purchase requests, purchase orders and funds documents for tracking the designated expenditure amount. Maintains Organizational (unit) fund documentation and subsidiaries for each unit assigned to the base. Assure all accounts are recorded and balanced. Maintains Government Purchase Card (GPC) program files. Manages, controls, and coordinates appropriated fund (APF) and non-appropriated fund (NAF) logistics to include but not limited to purchase, receipt and tum-in of mostly capital and bulk-purchased items. Provides substantive support of technical administrative management and/or operational requirements of the Private Organization (and unofficial activity) program. Responsible for the competed SETS payroll system from the receipt of timecards to payroll deposits. Audits payroll supporting documents, i.e., personnel actions, time and attendance reports, etc., for approximately 500 NAF employees. Responsible for NAF AO Records Management, Resource Protection and maintains Life of Fund files. Codes input into the computerized payroll system and ensure that control total match edits before payroll is transmitted. Processes appropriate General Ledger adjustments, monthly update subsidiaries for each balance sheet account, maintains construction folders, and updates end of quarter reports submitted to AFSVA. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in work, which provided comprehensive knowledge of funds accounting methods, procedures and techniques used in maintaining and analyzing accounts for diversified activities. Must have the ability to prepare financial statements and reports. Must have knowledge and understanding of regulations, guides and precedents sufficient to interpret and apply them to a variety of accounting situations. The experience must have demonstrated the ability to deal with people in a positive manner. Must have worked with complex manual payroll system or one that involved data processing equipment, acting as a contact person for a diverse payroll system.
