The candidate will report to the Office of the Chief Administrator Office / Medical Division. The ideal candidate for this position will be a licensed paramedic with at least five years of clinical and operational experience, including the provision of emergency care in austere or wilderness environments, medical planning for disasters or other complex incidents, and providing instruction in tactical casualty care, first aid, CPR, and/or hazardous materials.

Qualifications
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
This position has an Individual Occupational Requirement.
Basic Requirement:
Education: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
In addition, to the Basic Requirement, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
Performing medical support planning and medical threat analysis for disasters, complex incidents, or deployments to austere or remote environments, AND
Providing basic and advanced life support measures in austere or remote environments where transport to a medical facility may be significantly delayed, AND
Providing regular training in Tactical Emergency Casualty Care, first aid, CPR/AED, and other lifesaving measures to a large workforce or communities.
