You will serve as a COMMUNITY PLANNING TECHNICIAN in the Asset Management Division of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.
Duties
You will receive, evaluate, and process space requests.
You will validate requirements via Navy Shore Facility Planning System (SFPS) to verify real property records and mission requirements.
You will evaluate and perform Basic Facilities Requirements (BFR) computations and validations.
You will serve as internal and external customer point-of-contact for space requests, space utilization, and changes related to space management. This position requires significant customer service interaction.
You will accurately report program status in a timely manner (weekly/biweekly/monthly).
You will regularly coordinate with internal and external customers regarding program currency.
You will Compile, verify, and maintain Real Property Records. Recordkeeping includes periodic and special data collection to verify space assigned, usage, contents, and dimensions.
You will develop/refine policies and plans that promote stewardship of all NBSD space resources ensuring such plans and policies align with future plans, and prioritizing mission need for equitable and efficient allocations of resources.
You will develop potential courses of action and recommendations for decision making; and draft justification memoranda and reports to support recommendations.
You will write and route official space allocation correspondence.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting community planners with development of on-site planning documentation for projects involving construction, alteration, maintenance and repair; 2) Planning and producing comprehensive work packages to be used as the basis for administrative or budget planning, special project and Military Construction projects; 3) Surveying facilities to determine occupants and changes to the facility for purpose of updating real property records to be submitted to the Real Property Accountability Officer; 4) Supporting planners in preparation of technical briefings, point papers, presentations to higher level authorities.
