Duties

You will evaluate the instability or unreliability of precision measurement equipment or standards to determine if it should be removed from service. You will interpret technical electronic data (e.g., schematic symbols, wiring diagrams, tables and charts, mathematical expressions and formulae, calibration procedures, color codes) for precision measurement equipment calibrations. You will review precision measurement equipment specifications to determine measurement tolerances. You will supply technical information for the development of documents used for test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) certification. You will use statistics, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry to calculate measurement uncertainty. You will adapt equipment, standards, and procedures to accomplish unique measurements of precision measurement equipment.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Able to perform common Precision Measurement Equipment Calibrator tasks including calibrating, configuring, operating, and maintaining Electronic Measurement Equipment, Electro-Mechanical Equipment, and Mechanical Test Systems.
