About the position: This position will be assigned to the Resource Management Flight facility of the 6th Force Support Squadron, MacDill AFB, FL.

Duties

Performs a full range of accounting duties using double-entry accounting methods for accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue reconciliation, payroll back-up, banking or general ledger. Classifies and verifies a wide variety of accounting documents in order to assure their mathematical correctness, completeness of information and prepares control sheet with appropriate accounting codes. Maintains double-entry bookkeeping journals and subsidiary ledgers, posting entries to established accounts. Prepares monthly balances, reconciles accounts and transcribes to general ledger for closeout all accounts in an effective and timely manner. Traces discrepancies, if necessary, to posting documents, computes operational expenses incurred by individual activities for services provided and assigns charges appropriately. Prepares, examines, verifies, analyzes and files a variety of documents. Documents may include but are not limited to, vouchers, party sheets, disbursement request, cash transfers, etc. which is complicated by discounts, partial payments, etc. Ensures compliance with Air Force instructions and AMC and local policies. Responsible for leading the work of other personnel assigned to the accounts payable, cashier, banking, and revenue reconciliation functions of the accounting office. As a working leader, performs the following duties: Distributes and balance s workload among employees. Observes work in progress, production, adherence to quality and safety standards. Instructs and trains new employe es. Staff assistance visits to individual activities when necessary. Elevates unsolved employee complaints to supervisor. Provides input on performance, progress, and disciplinary problems. Reports all repair and maintenance requirements according to established policy. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in work which provided comprehensive knowledge of fund accounting methods, procedures and techniques used in maintaining and analyzing all classes of accounts in accounting systems encompassing a number of di versified activities and knowledge and understanding of the regulations, guides and precedents sufficient to interpret and apply them in a variety of situations. Must have experience in non-appropriated fund accounting. Must have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to prepare correspondence and reports. Must have computer experience and knowledge of office automation software (as a minimum must have experiences in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and E-mail). Must have experience with revenue reconciliation and examination of accounting documentation. Must be able to lift and carry computer -generated products and paper supplies up to 30 pounds. Successful completion of a National Agency Check is required. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
