This position is located in Glacier National Park, in the Facility Management Division.
Duties
The primary purpose of this position is to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate a variety of utility systems that require intermediate to journey level skills in various utility related trades such as electrical work, air conditioning equipment repair, heating equipment maintenance, boiler plant maintenance, wastewater treatment operation, water treatment operation, and engineering equipment operation.
The utility equipment and systems maintained at this level are usually uncomplicated but may occasionally have moderately complex maintenance requirements.
The primary intent and purpose of the position is the repair and operation of utility systems such as steam, hot water, chilled water, filtered water, wastewater, air conditioning, heating, electrical, sewer, plumbing, compressed air, vacuum, and gas.
This is a Career-Seasonal position and subject to release and recall procedures. A permanent career-seasonal position includes all the benefits of permanent employment, but does not provide employment on a full year-round basis. As such, selectee will be in a non-pay/non-duty status for at least 2 weeks to 6 months per year based on project requirements or weather conditions. Selectee are guaranteed to work at least 6 months per year but not more than 50 weeks per year, with the work schedule to be determined upon appointment. The typical season for Glacier National Park is middle of February to middle of October, but can be variable during these months due to project requirements or weather conditions.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:

Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading)
Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.
Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic)
