This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner.

As a Director Quality Assurance Division, you will: Direct and supervise three Branch Chiefs and support employees who are responsible for carrying out the Department's risk management program for single family housing program participants. Develop and implement operating procedures and systems, assignment of duties and responsibilities, staffing patterns, and budget required to carry out a cost effective and efficient risk management program to provide monitoring of single-family program participants. Review and evaluate work of subordinates to determine whether state objectives are met; advise, assist and train staff regarding program objectives.

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Monitoring and conducting quality control reviews of loan underwriting and/or loss mitigation for Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Single-Family Housing mortgage loans; and Oversight and/or management of risk assessments to make and/or approve determinations regarding the acceptability risk level based on FHA regulations; and Managing or supervising a team of employees in achieving program goals and objectives. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
