You will serve as a HEALTH SYSTEM SPECIALIST of NMRTU GROTON CT.
THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE ANNOUNCEMENT. Section 1109 of the National Defense Authorization Act Fiscal Year 2020 Public Law 116-92 amended Section 9905 of title 5, United States Code (U.S.C.) to streamline and simplify certain Department of Defense civilian Direct Hire Authorities to recruit and appoint qualified candidates directly to certain positions in the competitive service in the Department of Defense.
Duties
You will serve as the primary liaison between the military members and other agencies.
You will generate standard and customized management reports and charts.
You will be responsible for all aspects of DES program and TDRL case processing and customer service.
You will set and adjust priorities of work involving multi-sections/units for completion of Medical Evaluation Board cases.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
GS-07
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience utilizing Department of Defense Instruction (DoD), Secretary of the Navy Instruction, DES policy, guidelines, processes and procedures to serve as technical authority for assigned programs.
Experience using information technology to document progress, concerns, or other issues relevant to member's cases entering all mandatory data into the system of record.
Experience generating standard and customized management reports and charts.
Experience analyzing new and established directives from the Secretary of the Navy.
GS-09
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience utilizing Department of Defense Instruction (DoD), Secretary of the Navy Instruction, DES policy, guidelines, processes and procedures to serve as technical authority for assigned programs.
