You may also view the full position description on the Agency intranet at the following link: PD Search The Operations Supervisor provides administrative and managerial assistance in planning, organizing, and accomplishing management objectives as part of the management staff. Provides first-line supervision and technical guidance to claims specialists, customer service representatives, and other supporting staff. Ensures that subordinate employees perform their duties, including the making of final determinations and commitments in claims and post-entitlement actions, appropriately and in the quickest time possible consistent with accuracy. Becomes the person in charge when higher-level management personnel are absent.

Qualifications

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-11 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include the development, examination, investigation, adjudication, or authorization of claims for retirement, survivors insurance, disability insurance, pension programs, health insurance, income maintenance, or related programs. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Applicants for promotion must have 52 weeks at GS-11. Time in grade requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
