You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Material Management Department (63) of Naval Sea Logistics Center of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA located in Crane, IN.

Duties

You will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse On-Site Lead with Operating Materials and Supplies program management, performing warehouse management/administrative functions, and conducting daily warehouse inventory management operations. You will be responsible for establishing warehouse management methods, procedures, and business practices to organize and locate assets and assuring/reporting on visibility and accountability of assets and compliance with governing policy. You will analyze reports and transactions produced by the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) automated systems to identify trends, problems and other situations that impact effective material support and/or proper funds management. You will assist supply specialists in assuring effective material support for weapons systems and operational equipment that is in direct support of production.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current forklift and Materials Handling certification within 90 days.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing supply support services associated with warehousing and inventory of supply materials including centralized receiving, receipt control, custody storage, or goods issues using an automated inventory system.
