You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC), CYBERSECURITY DIVISION in the of NAWCTSD ORLANDO.
Duties
You will perform continuing analysis of in-place cybersecurity plans/programs/processes to ensure they provide an optimized level of security.
You will make authoritative recommendations for corrective actions to the program/project manager, customer, and cybersecurity team members.
You will provide technical/functional expertise and analytical support to guide customers.
You will prepare/submit reports of implementation compliance or advises the customer when it’s appropriate to submit waiver requests (including risk assessments and mitigation plans).
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 461 level advanced within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following:1) Identifying cybersecurity methods/techniques; 2) Conducting security site surveys/inspections to ensure adherence to Assessment and Authorization documentation and cybersecurity regulations; 3) Developing, maintaining and tracking computer security accreditations and documentation in accordance with policy; and 4) Performing continuing analysis of in-place cybersecurity plans/programs/processes to ensure they provide an optimized level of security.
