You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the SUPPLY MANAGEMENT DIVISION of MARINE CORPS BASE.

Duties

You will provide technical supply procurement and research assistance to multiple commands. You will validate and review non-availability statements, purchase requests, referrals orders, billing, card issues, and oversee retrieval of missing receipts. You will apply supply directives and procedures, Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) program, and mandatory sources of supplies to resolve customers’ problems. You will analyze information and produce required reports. You will work with supply automated data processing software utilized during daily operations which include usage of an Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) and Government Enhanced Check-out System (GECO). You will maintain liaison with customers, and personnel in other areas, Branches, Divisions, and Departments, relative to requirements, receipt, and issue of supplies and materials You will facilitate vendor operations with vendors, contractors, and representatives from other Federal agencies to support the operations mission. You will reviews and analyzes physical stock postures with contracted vendors recommending necessary corrective actions to vendors to minimize not-in-stock (NIS) status and to support customer requirements. You will maintain employee management communications and recognizes, address, and make every effort to reconcile employee grievances and discrimination complaints. You will encourages and recognizes employee achievements; administers constructive discipline; keeps employees informed on all matters.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position is subject to recall of duty
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a software GECO security access.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Review, analyze, and evaluate supply management, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes involving acquisition, inventory, receipt, accountability, and warehousing functions; operate database or spreadsheet software to enter, revise, sort, or calculate and retrieve data for standard reports; Input, receive, and interpret supply transactions essential to the management of resources for logistic support operations; and assign duties, evaluates performance, provide feedback, and develop employees in a fair and equitable manner. .
