DON Pathways Internship Program You will serve as a Legal Clerk (Student Trainee) in the Pathways Internship Program of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.

Duties

Assisting with maintaining schedules/calendars. Planning travel and preparing travel documents. Assisting staff on routine data entry and tracking. Setting up files and filing. Copying, assembling, and distributing documents. Answering telephones and routing to staff members, as appropriate. Greeting customers and answering routine questions; referring non-routine questions to appropriate staff member. Monitoring and ordering office supplies. Reviewing and certifying purpose of visit and classification level of visit for foreign travel requests. Maintaining record logs. Reviewing submissions for security policy compliance. Maintaining Law library, including processing requests and updating/replacing material.

• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Requirement: This position requires you to currently possess and maintain an overall G.P.A. of 2.5 or greater out of a 4.0 scale. (G.P.A.'s are rounded to one decimal place. For example, 2.45 rounds to 2.5 and 2.44 rounds to 2.4). Your G.P.A. must be reflected in your resume. As part of the application process, you must complete and submit an occupational questionnaire. This position may be non-competitively converted to a position in the 0986 within the NC Career Track at the 01 or 02 Pay Band levels depending on your highest attained level of education after meeting all regulatory requirements (including qualification requirements), and upon the recommendation of management.
