You will serve as a BUSINESS OPERATIONS ANALYST in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SW of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will be responsible for tracking funding, scheduling, and providing business systems guidance.aracters. You will conduct detailed analyses of complex functions and work processes. You will lead/facilitate conferences, workshops, meeting, and seminars. You will use hand held devices (i.e., Motorola/Symbol) and software (i.e., MAXIMO) to load data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (SPM) application.

Requirements

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: . 1) Providing guidance in Public Works functional areas such as Maintenance, Utilities, Transportation, Engineering, or Production Control; 2) Planning, scheduling and developing new or modified work methods/approaches; 3) Recommending effective project management techniques and cost reduction-efficiency improvement strategies; 4) Monitoring the Computerized Maintenance Management System application, Oracle database structure, Structured Query Language, and Actuate e-Report Designer software; and 5) Preparing and presenting oral and written executive briefs on management processes and operations.
