This position is located at the Rosebud PHS Indian Hospital, Rosebud South Dakota. The purpose of this position is to perform journeyman electrician duties.

Duties

Plans, installs, modifies, monitors, troubleshoots, tests and repairs all high and low voltage, normal and emergency electrical power systems. Works from pertinent engineering drawings, specifications, schedules, codes, and operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals. Plans, installs, modifies, monitors, troubleshoots, tests, adjusts, and repairs, as necessary the DDC control system which interacts with high pressure boilers, chillers, pumps, valves, etc. Perform required preventative maintenance and testing of all high and low voltage electrical, alarm, and control systems in accordance with accreditation and code requirements. Trains the maintenance workforce in the preventive maintenance servicing all electrical systems and equipment.

Physical effort is expended in continually standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in small or cramped quarters. Frequently carries, lifts, pulls or pushes carts and equipment weighing up to and beyond 50 pounds. Work is sometimes performed on ladders and/or scaffolds, which requires employee to work overhead or in stretched, cramped or awkward positions. Work is performed inside and outside in all kinds of weather. Employee may perform work where pungent fumes are present. Employee has exposure to the possibility of scrapes, bums, and infections and has the occasional exposure to serious injury.
