About the Position: This position is located in the Collective Training Division of the Training and Leader Development Directorate. Serves as a principal Army Staff official supporting all training capabilities/activities required by Army units to prepare for operational deployment/employment.
This position is a TERM Not to Exceed 3 years position. It is time-limited and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years. See category "Addittional Information" for details regarding this position.
Duties
Responsible for strategic planning and synchronization of the Army .
Manage guidelines for work completion.
Evaluate the effectiveness of operations and technical competence within organization.
Define issues and presents alternatives for resolution of issues to the organization’s leadership.
Facilitate audit activities to accomplish program goals.
Represent the organization's policies in internal and external meetings.
Maintain close coordination with Management Decision Package (MDEP) managers and the Training Program Evaluation Group to ensure training strategies are synchronized in the recorded program.
Develop program goals and secure approval from leadership.
Maintain liaison with Army Commands to promote consensus on solutions to program issues.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One year trial period may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: assisting with establishing organizational policies and guidance over training programs; measuring a program by success based on broad objectives and specific guidance from the organization; and implementing guidance for management control mechanisms governing the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
