You will serve as a RECORDS & INFORMATION SPECIALIST, ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT DIVISION'S (ASD), RECORDS MANAGEMENT BRANCH, OFFICE OF THE ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT FOR ADMINISTRATION, for UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.
Duties
You will educate and train departmental staff on recordkeeping, files maintenance procedures, records schedules, and the Privacy Act.
You will conduct studies into analyses, apply quantitative and qualitative methods, and procedures to improve records program operations.
You will provide recommendations on technical and administrative matters on file plans, records retention schedules, disposition, and transfer/retrievals to and from the Federal Records Center.
You will inventory and schedule record holdings and collections.
You will ensure maximum utilization is made of current technologies in the fields of information automation.
You will study, analyze, and develop methods to improve the accuracy, adequacy, validity, and timeliness of records information.
You will provide influence to reduce production and storage of paper records and comply with program guidance for scanning and conversion to electronic files.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:: plan and schedule for the creation, maintenance and disposition of official records, conducts physical records inventories, and ensure that records are preserved and records no longer needed receive appropriate disposition.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such aa degree, OR LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position being filled OR a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
