You will serve as a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVMEDREADLOGCMD.

Duties

You will assist in developing and providing transportation management data and technical advice. You will assist in the planning, coordination and direction of transportation and traffic management functions. You will participate in traffic management meetings with officials from Naval Supply Systems Command. You will assist in the review and certification of freight billing.

Requirements

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete Chemical, Biological, and Radiological (CBR) Gear training, current immunizations and maintenance of a current physical as part of the deployment process.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to deploy to assist in DEPMED deployments and retrogrades.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with transportation booking systems, shipment planning (all modes of transport: air , sea, land), booking shipments. Experience with trucking equipment codes. Experience maintaining compliance with major policy and regulatory issuances from higher authorities. Experiencing maintaining transportation library. Experience filing records for inventories and material disposals for audit purposes. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
