You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (APPSW) in the INFORMATION ASSURANCE DIVISION within the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPT of SUPSHIP GULF COAST.
Duties
You will serve as Software Developer on systems managed and co-managed by SUPSHIP GULF COAST (SSGC).
You will provide technical expertise in coding languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
You will test builds prior to placing into production and provides operational deployment, support, ongoing maintenance and customizations as authorized.
You will determine the feasibility of installations and modifications, and schedules implementation to ensure continuity of operations.
You will schedule, monitor and verify the integrity of server/software patches as it relates to impact on custom software/system applications and mission functions.
You will configure system components such as servers, workstations, printers and other authorized peripherals needed to support the assigned systems.
You will provide advice and guidance in implementing IT security policies, procedures and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing Technical expertise in Microsoft Power Platform development. 2) Should understand SharePoint sites and their components such as lists, content types, webparts and workflows. 3) Complete understanding of Microsoft 365 environment. 4) Complete understanding in the design or development of software using programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, HyperText Markup Language (HTML), JavaServer Pages (JSP), JQuery, or Cascade Styling Sheets). Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
For the GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing Technical expertise in Microsoft Power Platform development. 2) Should understand SharePoint sites and their components such as lists, content types, webparts and workflows. 3) Complete understanding of Microsoft 365 environment. 4) Complete understanding in the design or development of software using programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, HyperText Markup Language (HTML), JavaServer Pages (JSP), JQuery, or Cascade Styling Sheets). Education
The following education may be substituted for specialized experience at the GS-11:
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
An LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
