YOU WILL SERVE AS AN ENVIORONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST IN THE MRO F/A-18 PRODUCTION DEPTARTMENT, OF FLEET READINESS CENTER WEST LOCATED AT NAVAL AIR STATION LEMOORE, CALIFORNIA

Duties

You will provide support for the following programs: Air Quality, HAZMAT Control/Management, Hazardous Waste Management, Water Quality, Environmental Quality and Planning, Pollution prevention, Recycling and Used Oil Management. You will coordinate, conduct, and/or participate in environmental investigations, inspections and surveys for the purpose maintaining facility compliance with a variety of environmental rules and regulations. You will provide staff advisory, consulting and reviewing services to all activities within the FRC field activities for environmental questions related to environmental regulations. You will provide all technical and administrative support to ensure compliance in all matters pertaining to the assigned program areas. You will be required to have regular and predictable attendance, which is an essential function of this position.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the 07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Knowledge of environmental practices and techniques applicable to environmental protection programs sufficient to perform environmental protection duties; 2) Knowledge of evaluation and investigative techniques to ensure State and Federal regulations sufficient to prepare reports and documents related to environmental protection; 3) Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Education

master's or equivalent graduate degree
